THE VEGAN SOCIETY is

The oldest Vegan Organization in the world and was founded in 1944. The founder Donald Watson and his wife coined the term ‘Vegan’ to describe the lifestyle of what were then called the non-dairy vegetarians. The word ‘Vegan’ was created from the first and last letter of ‘vegetarian’.

Introduction of Masahiro Aizawa

Masahiro first came to the Gold Coast from Japan to follow his passion for surfing, and immediately fell in love with the Australian way of life. He was so impressed by Australia’s natural beauty, that he made Australia his home. Looking on Japanese culture from afar, he realised how, as humans, we are dependent on, and entwined in the beauty and power of nature, which led him to discover aromatherapy. Masahiro draws on the power of nature from plants, oceans and waves. Through aromatherapy, Masahiro aims to refine his senses and absorb nature with his body.

Yurika owns a beauty Salon in Tokyo where she also runs Marvo Aromatherapy classes to her clients. Yurika was handpicked and taught by Masahiro Aizawa, the founder of Marvo Aromatherapy School in Sydney. She uses Marvo&Co products for treatments at the salon.

 

Profile

In my 20s, I worked at an eyelash salon. After quitting my job and giving birth, I became completely exhausted from raising my baby. Seeing this, my mother sent me for a Lomi Lomi massage. It was incredibly healing and revitalized me. That experience made me think, “I want to be able to give massages like this too!” That was the start of my journey.

After that, I attended a Lomi Lomi school and worked at a beauty salon. However, at large salons, the time spent with each client was very short. I always wished I could provide more personalized and attentive care. That’s when I began dreaming of opening my own salon. Running my own salon allows me to tailor treatments to each individual client, which brings me so much joy.

 

Tell us about the features of your salon.

At our salon, we use a professional-grade machine called Geneo+. It utilizes high-power radiofrequency to address various skin concerns. With OxyGeneo, a high-concentration carbonated cleansing peel, we can improve pore issues, dark spots, and dullness. While the effects are significant, the products used are free of preservatives, parabens, artificial coloring, animal-derived ingredients, and artificial fragrances, making them safe for those with sensitive skin.

All of our treatments include a décolleté massage, so we can also thoroughly care for shoulder and neck stiffness. We also offer aromatic body massages, which are very popular with those experiencing physical fatigue.

 

Who would you especially recommend your salon to?

Our salon is particularly recommended for those in their 30s to 60s who want to begin aging care. It’s perfect for people who are busy with work or parenting and don’t have much time for skincare, as well as those dealing with dryness, skin troubles, or aging due to lack of sleep or nutrition.

Can clients receive treatments using Marvo&Co products at your salon?

Yes, during machine-based treatments, we use Marvo&Co products for cleansing, skincare, and massage. We also offer fully hand-performed treatments, where Marvo&Co products are used for both body and facial care.
